One of the hard part of winemaking process is blending. Each of the variety had to shine yet not overpowering others in the same blend. In particular this case, the Traminer and Riesling are both delicate and aromatic variety. De Bortoli has found that balance in this fruit driven medium dry white. Resulting with a wine that displays musk stick and mango on the nose and a clean finish.

White gold in colour with aromas of quince jelly, cumquats and dried fruit. The palate has notes of zesty lemon peel and butter menthol which combine to reveal a very silky mouthfeel and long finish.

Gonzalez Byass has been producing high quality sherry in Jerez (Spain) for over 175 years. There Elegante Amontillado Sherry is rich in aromas of nuts, with undertones of fine wood and cocoa with a slightly raisiny finish. On the palate it is fresh, smooth and somewhat sweet, with a toasted-caramel finish. Ideally served as an apertif, with your favourite cheeses.

While Durif is not widely grown in Australia but has a loyal following nonetheless. De Bortoli Deen Vat 1 is an excellent example, showing typically deep colour and lots of rich, ripe fruit supported by firm tannins. Perfect when paired with a thick cut steak and roasted vegetables.
