Dow's 10 Years Old Tawny Port
Aged for 10 years in the Boa Vista Lodge, Dows 10 Year Old retains bright fruit flavours combined with an intense complexity from prolonged ageing in well-seasoned oak.This Ports colour has a deep russet centre with a distinctive garnet edge and a hint of amber and bright aromas of red cherry and almonds with toffee and vanilla notes balance the nose. On the palate this wine is mouth-filling, with peppery spice and a touch of marmalade. The finish is full, with Dows trademark dry edge.
Dow's 20 Years Old Tawny Port
With a polished brown centre and orange-amber edges, this wine has a honeysuckle scent with discreet butterscotch notes. Refined and balanced on the palate, flinty and mellowed tannins meld with concentrated red berry fruit and lifted mineral freshness. Nuanced flavours of tobacco lead to a focused, dry finish. For some, Dows 20 Year Old is the perfect example of an aged tawny Port, an elegant balance of mellow fruit combines with the complex characteristics from prolonged wood-ageing.
Kings of Prohibition Old Tawny
A medium tawny in appearance, the wine has a full warming palate with rich flavours of toffee, cherry vanilla and caramel. The wine although being sweet, still fin is hes fresh and lively. Complimented by aromas of vanilla and toast with a hint of raisins and fruitcake. Best as a late night tipple but can be a perfect wine to accompany chocolate and mixed nuts. This tawny also pairs well with a rich dessert such as sticky date pudding or a chocolate tart. The grapes are harvested at optimum maturity and then fermented for a short ti me on their skins . The wine is then drained and pressed and the grape spirit is added to the fermenting. A portion of th is wine spends time maturing in used Whisky barrels for one year. The wine is then clarified, stabilised and a portion of the wine goes to barrel to mature in ambient temperature. Delicious drinking now but will also cellar for up to 3 years.

De Bortoli Deen Vat 1 Durif
While Durif is not widely grown in Australia but has a loyal following nonetheless. De Bortoli Deen Vat 1 is an excellent example, showing typically deep colour and lots of rich, ripe fruit supported by firm tannins. Perfect when paired with a thick cut steak and roasted vegetables.
De Bortoli Sacred Hill Old Tawny
Sienna amber in colour. Aromas of caramel and rancio, dried fruits and nut. Luscious with generous caramel, chocolate and raisin flavours, developed characters from the time spent maturing contributes complexity and depth. Sacred Hill has been aged on oak and is designed for current consumption but will keep in the bottle for several years.
