The palate is warm, firm and structured, but retains the elegance that we expect to see in Cabernet based wines from Clare. It will take several years in the cellar to reveal its undoubted potential. Very good cellaring proposition. Try with grilled lamb backstraps.

The Amragh Shiraz, with The McRae Wood Shiraz, The Benbournie Cabernet Sauvignon and the Florita Riesling are the super premium wines of the portfolio.

Full bodied and complex, yet, with a soft and supple mouthfeel, this Shiraz delivers intense aromas of ripe plumb and dark cherries. A never-ending finish, driven by a sweet and savoury balance of liquorice and black pepper, making this an ideal accompaniment for flame grilled red meats.
