Thats the number of vines that were first transported to our shores in 1832. They have been collected from Spain and France for the purpose of starting the first vineyards in Australia. Once the vines arrives, they were put into the care of a studious botanist we have nicknamed The Tutor. The Parker Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is made in a riper, more generous style to its peers, yet with enough restraint to display the distinct varietal and regional characteristics. Welcome to ED.02 of our Methode Eucalypt. After 2020s raging success, we are so excited to release the next vintage. This trial tests the hypothesis that vineyards amongst gum trees take on some aroma and flavour of Eucalyptus. Grapes were mechanically harvested in close proximity to Red Gums into 1T bins. The resultant wine showed significantly increased Eucalyptus aroma and flavour. This matured into a distinctly Australian Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the environment and place in which it was grown. Balanced minty Or Eucalyptus aromas and flavours add to the Cabernet Sauvignon’s complexity, creating a uniquely Australian wine. It is a wine that expresses terroir in the true sense of the word.
