Pristine pale-straw with striking fluorescent green tinges around the rim edge. A gem-like and shimmeringly scented aroma of glittering, glimmering, glistening purity, poise and incandescence; lime blossom and honey suckle flower intensity is as pure as it is invigorating. An extraordinarily precise and clean citrus fruit spectrum - mandarin, bergamot, lemon, pomelo and lime. Essence of mandarin is underscored by a lilting harmony of stone-fruits, before searing, speeding, linear acidity escort lemon-meringue flavours to the palate's long finish.

Matured for 16 months in French oak barriques on lees. Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated nectarine and dried honey aromas are intermeshed with biscuity oak, nougat and subtle spicy cashew notes. Mid weighted white peach and nectarine fruits show good flesh with notions of dried honey, spicy nougat, biscuity oak and delicate cashew unwinding on the fresh finish. The gentle creamed tinged aftertaste sees the emergence of subtle roasted almond characters. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Alc. 12%

The wine is green and vibrant in appearance, with aromas of zesty lemon and grapefruit. An intense and generous palate, with lively citrus fruit and hints of talc. The wine finishes clean and dry with refreshing, long acidity. As is the case with all great Eden Valley Rieslings, mesh will age gracefully and reliably into a mature wine under the Stelvin closure.

Pewsey Vale Vineyard Prima Riesling exhibits the purity of style that is a distinct characteristic of every vintage of this wine. Very pale in colour with green hues, the aroma has a hint of the classic Pewsey Vale Riesling characters but is most redolent of white nectarines and lychees. The palate shows great length and finesses with a vibrancy of perfumed fruits such as guava and mandarin overlaid with a touch of white cherry, sorbet and clove. The balance of the wine is succulent and mouth-watering, inviting a second glass. This wine will cellar well, slowly developing flavour layers of fresh toast and spice.

An Eden Valley Riesling with a stellar wine show record, its won three Gold medals form the Sommelier Challenge 2016, the China Wine and Spirits Award 2016 and the San Francisco Wine Comp 2016. Pale straw with green hues. A delicate, bouquet of lime and tropical fruits, with hints of green apple, citrus blossom and talc. Fresh and lively, lime and Granny Smith apples tantalise the taste buds, with a zingy, zesty mouth feel and great balance. The site where the Langmeil winery now sits was originally settled by Blacksmith Christian Auricht way back in 1842. Christian went on to establish a bakery, smithy, a butcher's shop and a cobbler as well as planting a 1 hectare vineyard on the estate. This vineyard, still in use today, has been called the Freedom 1843 block and is believed to be one of the oldest Shiraz vineyards in the world. Flash forward 160+ years and the Langmeil winery and vineyard is back in family hands, with Carl Lindner, Richard Lindner and Chris Bitter now owning this historic Barossan estate. Like many Barossan estates with a bent for traditional full bodied reds, Langmeil prefers open fermenters and basket presses, utilising these fabulously archaic methods for over half its grape intake of approximately 1000 tonnes. In a similar vein, the wines are only minimally handled and minimally filtered before bottling in an attempt to preserve natural flavour and complexity.

On release, the wine has a complex aroma. Lifted yellow peach and nectarine characters dominate. Subtle spice and creamy characters add to the wines aromatic complexity. The palate is restrained and elegant. It displays the same fruit characters of peach and nectarine through-out. The mid and back palates are driven by a gentle line of lemon-like acid. Mountadam was first setup in 1972 by the late David Wynn, a pioneer of the wine industry an founder of Wynns Coonawarra Estate. Wynn made the winery famous on the back of superb cool climate wines, supported by his son Adam (who the winery is named after). Adam held onto the winery until 2002 when it was sold to luxury goods business LVMH. The winery returned to family hands again in 2006 when it was purchased by South Australian farmer and accountant David Brown and his wife Jenni. In late 2015 the Browns acquired the second High Eden vineyard established by Wynn. The two vineyards are dissected by High Eden road. The Brown family are keen to continue Wynn's vision to produce wines of elegance and structure. A focus on sustainable low input viticulture will guarentee the success of the vineyards into the future. From 2015, Helen McCarthy has steered the ship as Chief Winemaker.
