The friends in this French Alsace style blend are 'aromatic varieties', probably riesling and gewurztraminer. The colour is pale, the bouquet is sweetly fragrant and floral. A dab of sweetness, full, rich and satisfying.

On the nose, the wine is lifted and fresh displaying lime zest, tangerine, pear and cinnamon notes along with subtle hints of brioche and almond meal. Innocent Bystander produces a stylish Chardonnay that shows stonefruit melon and vanillin oak on the nose. The palate has lovely creamy mouthfeel and flavours of butterscotch and citrus with minerally acidity on the finish.

Bright pale yellow, there is nothing Innocent about this Pinot Gris! An extremely well made wine with distinct pear and freshly cut green apple slice on the nose followed by similar varietal characters on the palate. It is satisfyingly crisp with great acidity structure to be one of the great summer enjoyment.

Founded by James Halliday, Yarra Valley's Coldstream Hills winery has a reputation for producing quality wine. The Pinot Gris displays gentle white flower perfume, almonds and white fleshed fruit. The palate is subtle, but plenty enough flavour, glossy lightly powdery texture, some crunch of green pear on a long finish. Beautifully turned out.
