Mandala Chardonnay
Brilliant straw colour with a hint of green around the edges and watery hue. Intermeshed aromas of cashew, delicate white peach, biscuity oak, light toast and spice. Elegant with light to medium weight and excellent rounded creamy like textural qualities the palate possesses flavours of delicate white peach, cashew, nougat and spicy biscuity oak. Clean dry finish. Aftertaste of white peach, cashew and lightly toasted biscuity oak. Ageing: Drink over the next year. Food: Chinese steamed chicken.
Mandala Pinot Grigio
On the nose, the wine is lifted and fresh displaying lime zest, tangerine, pear and cinnamon notes along with subtle hints of brioche and almond meal. The palate offers a fleshy grapefruit, pear and mandarin profile driven along a racy line of natural acidity. Citrus, saline and savoury notes persist on the finish. This Pinot Grigio was hand-picked, whole bunch pressed with 25% fermented wild in old French barriques and the remainder fermented cold and slowly in stainless. The resultant wine is both brightly aromatic and vibrant, yet complex, textural and savoury on the palate. Established by the Smedley family, Mandala Wines is a five-star James Halliday-rated Yarra Valley winery. The main site and Cellar Door at Dixon's Creek offers a full range of prized Estate wines for tasting, along with its renowned assortment of single-site wines. It was the family's favourite wines which lead them to the Yarra Valley region; Charles' love of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay plus the region's famous sublime cool climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, made it the perfect choice. But Mandala have also established Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot vines too. With ther sites only an hour from Melbourne, it really was the best place to unearth Mandala and make the wines they love to drink. Today Mandala is thriving within its beautiful Yarra Valley country setting, where their kids play and older ones spend time together, tell stories and enjoy the good life. Oyster shell and wet rock over white peach and grapefruit. Vibrant and intense with a crisp citrus and stonefruit core, supported by subtle toasty oak. Shows latent development potential with nutty complexity and attractive minerality.

Quealy Friulano
Quealy were the first Aussie winemakers to produce a Friulano, a grape variety that hails from Friuli in north eastern Italy. A wine of interest with masses of flavour.Vibrant lemon green. Expressive and powerful nose of ripe melon, cashew and marzipan. Rich and ripe with lashings of stonefruit and citrus, complex nutty complexity, slatey minerality, supple textural notes and a long, savoury finish.
Pacha Mama Pinot Gris
Sourced from a single vineyard site in the Strathbogie Ranges, ideally suited to growing aromatic and balanced Pinot Gris. The cool nights here allow the fruit to reach optimum ripeness whilst retaining an elegant balance between flavour, alcohol and acidity. This wine by Pacha Mama underwent lees stirring while in barrel, resulting in a buttery richness and complexity that sets the pinot gris style apart from the tighter, more acidic Pinot Grigio. Rich and inviting nose with white musk, fresh quince and honeysuckle. A generous and textural palate, with flavours of crýme brulee, lemon zest and musk, balanced by refreshing acidity and a satisfying, clean finish.
Medhurst Yarra Valley Chardonnay
This Yarra Valley Chardonnay was made from fruit sourced entirely from Medhurst Estate Vineyard. All fruit handpicked whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak (10% new) where Indigenous fermentation in barrel lasting around one month. We decided to put one third of the blend through MLF to soften the natural acids in this cool and vibrant year. This adds depth and complexity to the pure stone fruit palate. The wine spent 5 months in oak before blending with full solids into tank. The wine was bottled with minimal filtration on August 30th, 2018. Bright pale straw with green hues, extremely vibrant and brilliant in the glass. The nose shows hints of grapefruit and stone fruit, both rich and flavoursome yet subtle. No real oak influence, but plenty of mealy, flinty notes. The palate is poised and powerful, showing off a benchmark Yarra Valley vintage. Again oak in the background it simply helps usher the beautiful pure fruit to the back of an effortless long and fine palate. This wine will look terrific over the medium term.
