Created in 1962, Penfolds Bin 128 is a regional wine that reflects the unique climate and growing conditions of South Australia's Coonawarra district and the relatively elegant style of cool climate Shiraz. From the 1980 vintage, French oak replaced American, highlighting the pepper, spice and floral characteristics that define this style. Since the mid-1980s, a greater attention has been paid to fruit ripeness, resulting in a wine that is fuller in style and structure.

Wynns is in the fortunate position to have holdings of some of Coonawarra's oldest Shiraz vines and coupled with recent plantings in the 1990s, Wynns now have fruit that is worthy of its own place amongst the Wynns elite. Enter Wynns Black Label Shiraz - with a dense, dark nose of pepper, mulberries and distinctive florals that are the perfect gateway to a palate that is rich and complex. Flavours of layered red berry, spice and chocolate with tight, focused tannins that will see the Black Label Shiraz become another Wynns favourite.

One of the established names of Coonawarra, Redman Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from hand pruned low yielding mature vines. Ripe blackcurrant fruit and vanillin oak make this fine drinking now.

Merlot lends itself beautifully here to sparkling red made by the Di Giorgio family. Using fruit sourced from the Limestone Coast , this sparkling Merlot displays wonderful ripe, rounded characters of plum and blueberry to give a luscious almost sweet-fruited feel, yet pulls back ever so nicely to finish dry and more-ish.

Kellermeister Alicante Bouchet is an exotic and unique red-fleshed grape variety which produces a bright refreshing wine bursting with flavours of ripe fresh berries balanced with a hint of sweet spice. The Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon has an impenetrable black colour; it is very fragrant with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, fresh tobacco and sweet pepper. The palate is intense and concentrated with a fine structure showing abundant blackberry, cassis, minerals and light toasty oak notes that combine to give a long persistent finish

Temple Bruer Preservative Free Rose has loads of yummy cherry and pineapple flavours and a nice dry finish. Goes really well with sweet chilli dishes or Asian food.

The nose displays lifted fresh pure red and blue fruits accompanied by subtle spicy cedar oak notes. The palate vibrant fruits of plum and blueberry are supported well by spicy oak. The palate is of medium weight with an elegant structure, round and soft with a fine tannin finish and lingering fruit flavours.
