Mt Difficulty is one of Central Otago's oldest and most prestigious vineyards. Having tamed the rugged region since 1992, Mt Difficulty produce wines of utmost character and charm. Their Roaring Meg Pinot Noir shows lovely perfumed blackberry and dark cherry fruits along with a hint of spice. On the palate the wine has a sweet berry character along with balanced, ripe textural tannins that rise gracefully out of the mid-palate to finish the wine.

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark to brick red hue. Elevated aromas of ripe dark cherries intermix with anise, earthy notes, some meatiness and spicy cedar. Quite rich and full the palate is laden with ripe black cherry and anise flavours which overlay a back drop of toasty cedar, dried meats and earth. Spicy finish with sturdy, slightly grainy tannins. Long spicy black cherry and anise aftertaste.

2021 Pinot Noir The complexity of Pinot is its beauty and also its challenge. Thin skins lend only subtle tannin structure, but the fruit profile shows the soft and layered sweetness of strawberries, raspberries and violets, characteristic of great Pinot Noir.

This Multi Vintage Exceptionnelle exhibits a light straw/green hue in the glass, with a fine persistent mousse. On the nose it delivers vibrant citrus and stone fruits which are complemented by layers of creamy complexity. The palate offers a crisp acidity and a concentration of rich and balanced lemon curd and lime which draw the wine through to a delicious and extended finish.

Bin 23 Pinot Noir is shaped by Tasmania’s cool-climate conditions, offering lifted aromatics and fine structure. Wild raspberry, caperberry and floral spice give way to savoury notes of bresaola and juniper, wrapped in graphite tannins. Light-bodied yet complex, it’s a contemporary expression of Pinot Noir in the Penfolds Collection.

The cool slopes of the Tamar Valley region, located in northern Tasmania, have the potential to produce great sparkling wine. This richly flavoured cuvée made from Chardonnay and Pinot noir by Pirie boasts complexity from barrel-aged base wine and reserve blending. It displays the impact of terroir and the favourable interaction of climate and soil on these vines.

Bream Creek Pinot Noir from Southern Tassie is big and ripe with gentle pepper nuances. Punchy, dried dark stone fruits, fruit cake and dark roasted herbs are present while the palate rolls out very ripe tannins that swerve from side to side, bringing rich plum flavour and a big juicy finish.
