Seppeltsfield The Westing Shiraz Barossa The Grounds wines from Seppeltsfield focus on the sub-regionality of the Barossa. The name is derived from the Barossa Grounds project. This was a comprehensive study of the districts sub-regionality led by the Barossa Grape & Wine Association. The fruit is sourced from single-site, estate-owned vineyards. 'Seppeltsfield, under the ownership of entrepreneur and winemaker Warren Randall, has undergone a remarkable transformation.' The fruit for The Westing is sourced from the Western Grounds Vineyard Seppeltsfield V Block. The Westing is vinified through Seppeltsfields historic 1888 Gravity Cellar. The fruit is fermented in open fermenters and matured for 14 months in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. The Westing is a full-bodied Shiraz in the classic Barossa style. Layers of blackberry, coffee bean and dark chocolate. This is a big, bold wine, however has a lovely drive of acidity that provides elegance and will support the wine as it ages long into the future. It has all the hallmarks of a classic, rich Barossa Shiraz, with undeniable vibrancy and freshness. An outstanding wine from an outstanding vintage.

Built for the long haul, with the precision, concentration and balance to age for many years. Onyx, ruby rimmed colour. Floral and berry notes on the nose, with a palate of dark cherry and blackcurrant fruits affording viscosity and concentration. Peak drinking: 2025 - 2050.

Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. It is matured in old, 1,460 litre vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character. Although a small proportion of Cabernet is sometimes used to improve structure, the focal point for St Henri remains Shiraz.

HENSCHKE The Wheelwright Single Vineyard Shiraz, Eden Valley From the estate Eden Valley vineyard, the Wheelwright displays aromas of berries, plum and fresh vanilla bean with nuances of crushed lavender, herbs and black pepper. The palate is beautifully structured with intense flavours of red berry, more plum and chocolate all finishing rich and textured, with fine-grained tannins and extraordinary length.
