With vineyards approx. 5km from the ocean (as the crow flies) the benefits of the cooling breezes are evident on the wine. It is inky yet bright, with silky dark fruits and excellent length. Bold, smooth and wonderfully balanced

Vibrant in colour the nose shows plum and berry fruit with spice pepper and well integrated oak. The palate has good fruit weight with attractive berry flavours and a fine tannin finish.

Made by Corrina Wright, a sixth generation member of the Oliver family, this is McLaren Vale Shiraz to the extreme. There's bold chocolate and blackberry flavours, a hint of pepper and smokey overtones. The alcohol sits at the higher end of the spectrum and there's plenty of vanilla oak, but the fruit intensity pulls it all together to produce a superbly balanced wine.

Shingleback owners John & Kym Davey produce a lovely, rich McLaren Vale Shiraz here with aromas of ripe cherry fruit, milk chocolate and licorice. Plush and sweet fruited on the palate, the tannins are soft and supple. Wonderful drinking.

Bearing all the hallmarks of a classic McLaren Vale Shiraz, whole berry fermentation provides succulent black fruits coupled with floral, seductive palate. Hints of blueberry, spice, and mocha give way to a beautifully polished, fragrant finish.

A generous portion of new French oak compliments the rich and full-bodied mix of dense red fruits.
