Selected from our finest sites, our Il Barone weaves the distinctive characteristics of four varieties into a perfectly balanced symphony of flavour. The flavour comes to life firstly through the blackcurrant notes of Cabernet, then through the herbaceous Sangiovese, and then the Nebbiolo deftly completes the palate with complex star anise aspects, melding perfectly with the fleshy fruit of the Shiraz and Teroldego. Suited to aging up to 15 years.

Dal Zotto is a family run winery in the King valley specialising in traditional Italian varietals. Their Barbera is a great example of the variety with ripe blood plums, spice, and a meaty savouriness. A great food friendly style - add a splash to boost your bolognaise!

In the glass: Very pale straw. On the nose: Pear, lemon, apple lift. On the palate: Very fresh and lively with a savoury mix of white fruit, a slightly nutty layer of complexity and a velvety mouth-feel.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from Con Mara Vineyard in Whorouly South, Alpine Valleys, Victoria. The 3t of fruit was picked in early March and taken back to Beechworth for processing. The wine spent nearly 14 months in 4 x new 500L French Oak puncheons and has yielded a more full-bodied style than the 2013 vintage. This received a gold medal at the North East Victorian Wine Challenge; 94 Points Halliday Wine Companion, 92 Points The Wine Front; and 4 Stars in Winestate.

Pale straw, vivid green youthful hue; tantalizing hints of fresh cut pear, citrus blossom and a mere suggestion of spice jump out and present themselves on the bouquet; the palate is soft, appealing, approachable and basically a whole lot of fun, with gentle bubbles and alcohol combining seamlessly, and offering the maximum amount of freshness for a drink early, enjoy and not necessarily in moderation style of sparkling wine; a spot on example of Prosecco.

Lovely aromas of honeydew melon with slight hints of cucumber. Subtle herbaceous edge in addition to the full fruit flavours, leaving it perfectly balanced with respect to sweetness and acidity. This particular wine adds sparkle to any occasion.

Originating for Georgia, Saperavi when translated means paint or dye which reflects its deep red colour. This wine has delicious bouquet or berries and firm rich tannins.
