The 2015 De Iuliis Steven Vineyard Shiraz shows a deep crimson colour with a purple hue and contains 13% of alcohol. Intense aromas of berry, spice and pepper flow from the vibrant bouquet while the palate is rich and juicy with flavours of black cherries, ending the wine in a captivating climax. This Shiraz varietal develops strong fruit characters with a cellaring period of 10 years and tastes best with slow cooked lamb shoulder and BBQ pork.

St Hugo Cabernet Shiraz displays a dark ruby red with purple hues. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.

Teusner Albert Shiraz is made from old vines in the northern Barossa; rich black fruits and tarry cassis with smoky undertones, the finish is long and luscious. Could easily be cellared for the medium term.

Vibrant, youthful colour, medium density and lovely purple tints for this Shiraz by Brokenwood. Being a cooler year the aromas are more on the spice cherry side than ripe and opulent. With over 150 years of heritage and a National Trust classification, the vineyards of Tahbilk produce some of the most interesting wines in Australia. This wine is named after the first generation of Purbrick's custodians; Eric Stevens who purchased the property in 1925. Fruit for this wine comes from vines planted in 1933 and 1937.
