Riversdale Estate Scorpio Pinot Noir
Freshness and an easy flow - red petals drifting down a slow-moving river, perhaps. There's a little whiff of umami on the first smell, vegemite maybe, but it quickly blows off. Black cherry, davidson plum, crushed pomegranate and cooking chocolate - there's a nice mix of bright and brooding fruit. Satiny tannins please the palate before turning savoury and some notes of tart red fruits spring up in the back palate with the acid to add complexity. Very much a Pinot to drink now. Drink: 2022-2024. Price: $35. Rating: 90/100.

Lost Farm Tasmania Pinot Noir
"Bright ruby with aromas of wild strawberries, red plum and raspberries. Hints of spiced morello cherries, berry flan, wood spice, undergrowth, ginger tea, Chinese barbecue meats and pressed flowers. Purely fruited with a sweep of sour cherry, powdery tannins and an appley acidity promoting cadence... 93pts" Dave Brooks, The Halliday Wine Companion. Fifth-generation South Australian winemaker and grape grower Richard Angove fell in love with the Tamar Valley while working vintage in '08, but it took him a decade to realise his ambition to work with a small group of growers to produce wines in the region. Pinot Noir lovers will be very glad he did.

Devils Corner Fortune Favours Pinot Noir
Fortune favours the bold. The brave. The determined. It takes a certain brand of courage to harness the rich potential of this rugged stretch of coast, but up against the wild winds and soaking rains, sometimes our fate is best left to the elements to create a wine worthy of this place. Select parcels of basket-pressed fruit and time maturing in oak barrel give this Pinot Noir a subtle complexity; its rich, savoury and toasty palate shining through aromas of juicy red currants, raspberries, and spice.
Devil's Corner Resolution Pinot Noir
Devil's Corner Resolution Pinot Noir is a full bodied style of Pinot Noir showing blackberry, sour cherry and hints of cedar from the quality French oak. The wine displays a juicy fruit driven middle palate with a crisp savoury texture and fine grained tannins. Given the wines depth and structure it is well worth putting some away in the cellar and looking at it again in 5 to 8 years.
