Bright red fruits on the nose with violets and a hint of spicy nutmeg that gives a savoury character. The palate is full of dark cherries and plums with fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity, giving an extremely well-balanced, rounded red.

To start with, the magnificent ruby colour is a treat for the eye with delightful cherry and dark stone fruits, white flesh plum, soft black tea and white pepper present on tasting, possibly a larger nose than front palate yet delivering a great depth of the varietal.

Ninth Island is a classic Tasmanian Sparkling. Apple and pear dominate the nose that is backed by a balanced yeastiness. The palate has good grip and a dry finish. What a little beauty!
