Vinuva Nero d’avola is a mouth-filling organic wine, true expression of Sicily, a region blessed with consistent bright sunshine. Nero d’avola is a native grape from the island grown on a calcareous soil, which can give extremely elegant wines. Vinuva Nero d’avola presents aromas of black and red berries and dried fruits with notes of chocolate.

Deep ruby red colour with grenadine tints, very limpid and full-bodied. At the olfactory evaluation it appears intense, persistent, of fine quality. It has a fragrance of ripe red fruits especially of wood and jam fruits, with tones of toast cocoa and chocolate. The taste is full, round, warm, just tannic. The wine is well structured and mature.

Produced almost exclusively in the southern region of Puglia, Italy, Appassimento is a the process of drying out the grapes whilst still on the vine. This tradition was historically used in the Veneto region in the production of Amarone, and goes back many centuries With this, lovely Primitivo and Negroamaro fruit, are naturally dried on the vine for 25 days, allowing a higher concentration of sugar and lets the water out, combined with a long period of cement age to create a supple wine full of ripe black fruits with complex hints of spice, vanilla, and raisins. De'Conti Appassimento 100X100 is a strong but fruity red with with a soft and almost sweet tannic structure. To obtain a well balanced wine, they have added Apulian Negroamaro and Sangiovese fruit.

Intense ruby red.Cherry and blackberry aromas with hints of black pepper and bitter cocoa, upon a pleasant background of sweet spices.Soft, with elegant tannins and a lingering finish recalling fruits of the forest, cherry and spicy notes.Particularly well-suited to appetisers of cold meats and cheeses, pasta with sauce, roast meat dishes and pizza with rich sauces and flavours. Dark fruit, blackberry, chocolate, black cherry. Velvety finish that is lovely and moreish. Very easy drinking, sweet but not too sweet, light but good flavour and legs, fruity but also some raisins and nuts.

This affordable red immediately caught out attention having been rated 98 points by Italian wine critic Luca Maroni. The word appassimento is Italian for "withering" and refers to a method of wine production in which grapes are dried for several weeks after harvest in special storage racks. The liquid evaporates and the aromas intensify with the concentrated fruit. A blend of Negroamaro (80%) and Primitivo (20%). Ruby red with orange reflections. Intense and complex with notes of ripe fruit and spices. Dry wine with good texture and supple tannins. Perfect with spicy pasta, red meat and mature cheeses.

Made from Nero d'Avola, a native grape of Sicily. The vineyards that produced this well crafted red are in the Belice area on the western side of the island. A portion of the fruit is treated very carefully during picking and transportation so as not to break the skins. The bunches are than laid out and dried for 30 days. They are then gently destemmed and crushed, and fermentation takes place. This wine is then added back to the normally fermented portion. The combination of two wines provides great intensity, complexity and interest. The wine has an incredibly intense nose featuring black pepper and spices. The palate offers layers and layers of fruit with bursts of dark berry fruit, excellent balance and complexity, with a soft, lingering finish.
