High Sands Grenache is the flagship of the Yangarra winery. Its made with 100% Grenache and sourced from gnarly old bush vines that were planted in 1946 and situated at the highest altitude in their vineyard. The wine is intense, complex and expressive of type and place.

2017 Hardys Tintara Grenache Shiraz Mataro,Full of juicy bright plum, red fruits & soft fine tannins. The medium bodied palate bursts with fresh fruits and finishes with fine savoury tannins and fresh natural Grenache acidity. Shiraz & Mataro provide the palate with soft generous fruit weight & compliment the spice & vibrancy of the Grenache.

This is the third release of this wine drawing fruit from our Blewitt Springs vineyard sitting on sandy soil offering excellent drainage and resistance to disease and this year using Grenache from our friends at Dog Ridge. The wise old ladies from Blewitt Springs (shiraz) have teamed up with spicy Grenache from McLaren Flat producing fruit of uncommon intensity and flavour. Clear, bright, light crimson purple. Crisp and lively florals, roses and lavender. Red berries, a touch of cinnamon and strawberry, with a hint of spicy talk. Juicy, opulent red fruits and a lovely warming spice. Sweet, bright cherries compliment soft, abundant chalky tannins. Great length of flavour.

Sourced from two vineyards, the youngest 60 years of age, and then made without sulphur or fining agents. Designed to be enjoyed whilst young and fresh.Very fresh red to purple. Raspberry, cherry, earth and pomegranate. fruit characters flow on from the nose with a velvety mouthfeel, rounded and gentle tannin harmony and lovely savoury persistence. A great young-drinker.
