Bernard Defaix Petit Chablis

Certified organic. Bernard Defaix's Petit Chablis is drawn exclusively from Kimmeridgian-based soils, unlike most Petit that generally comes from the low-lying sites on Portlandian limestone to the north of the commune. It's not necessarily the type of limestone but its location that makes the difference. This is a glass of crunchy, vibrant Chablis, with flinty mineral threads woven through notes of grapefruit, juicy, Cox's apple-like fruitiness and some quinine like minerality on the close. Still throwing off its youthful exuberance, what you get now is a tangy, racy, mouthful of freshness. Truly excellent Chardonnay for its level.

Louis Jadot Chablis

The Louis Jadot Chablis has a very nice golden yellow colour. It is a lipid, bright and fresh wine, which taste and bouquet develop relatively quickly. It should be served chilled, and can be served with oysters, charcuterie and fried fish. It also goes very well with goats cheese.

Poole's Rock Chardonnay
