Portraits Of Clare Clare Valley Shiraz

Winemaking in the Clare Valley stretches back over 160 years. We celebrate a region and its heritage by producing this selection of its finest portraits. Admired for its beautiful landscapes, landmarks and world-class wine, the Clare Valley has a lot to offer - just like this flavoursome Shiraz. This wine is the result of meticulous crafting, which shows layers of lifted blackberry and plum aromas and is supported by soft tannins. It delivers great length and flavour on the finish, and can be enjoyed now with friends or in the medium term.

Under Wraps Clare Valley Shiraz

Richly textured and supported by subtle French oak char and fine grained tannins, the nose and palate display an elegant infusion of red fruits, liquorice, dried herbs, tar and charcuterie in a long and persistent finish.

Pure Clare Shiraz

The Pure Clare Shiraz comes from 25 to 50 year old vines at the northern end of the Clare Valley which give small crops of deeply coloured and intensely flavoured berries. Gentle handling in the winery preserves that natural intensity and gives a concentrated shiraz full of aromas and flavours of plum, blackcurrant and spice. Jeanneret Wines was established in 1992 by the Jeanneret family who were led heart first into the regions vineyards. A passion for making wines purely for their own enjoyment organically expanded into a business and the Jeanneret cellar door was opened in October 1994. Headed up by self-taught Winemaker, Ben Jeanneret, our ethos is to produce generous wines full of flavour to be enjoyed amongst friends. Ben has perfected the art and is regarded as one of the leading winemakers of Clare Valley and was named one of the Ten Dark Horses by James Halliday. The business has continued to grow, change and innovate, but one thing has always remained the same to make great wines from local grapes.

Mid North Rose

Taylors Cabernet Sauvignon

This Clare Valley Cabernet from Taylors shows ample varietal blackcurrant flavour seasoned with some attractive sweet oak. The tannins are firm but nicely in balance.

Taylors Estate Pinot Noir

Taylors produce a surprise packet of a Pinot Noir at a very attractive price. Bright cherry colour complemented by a nose of strawberry and spice. Flavours of ripe cherries follow and lingers nicely on the palate.

Taylors Estate Merlot

In just a few short decades, the Taylor family have etched out a formidable reputation for producing high quality wine from their Clare Valley vineyards. This textbook Merlot captures the varietal characters of berries, fruitcake and velvety tannins. The judicious use of French and American oak adds mocha and vanilla softens and rounds the palate.

Jim Barry 'Barry & Sons' Grenache Shiraz Malbec

Annie's Lane Cabernet Merlot

Ripe and generous, the leafy, minty characters of Cabernet are complemented by the softness and plummy fruit coming from the Merlot. A nice touch of sweet oak completes the picture.

Sit Stay Society Cabernet Malbec

Sit Stay Society Cabernet Malbec 375mL bottles prove that good things come in small packages. This wine shows the best of both varieties with a mix of dark red fruit characters & plush blackberry notes.
