Sitting proudly next to the iconic Woodhenge gate at Wirra is a classic Aussie residence. Originally built after severe storms destroyed the winery buildings in 1940, the then owners, the Sparrows, built this residence with left over materials from the fallen winery. Willunga 100 was born out of the dream and vision of 3 industry icons, David Gleave MW, Michael Hill-Smith MW and John Ratcliffe to produce region specific wines that deliver true Australian value and quality. '100' is a old term used to nominate parcels of important land that had earned their place on the map. The fruit for this award winning Shiraz Viognier comes from the area once known as Willunga 100. A supremely structured Shiraz with juicy, brambly fruit accompanied by an integrated peachiness with delicious length.

Utilising the winemaking talents of Larry Cherubino and over 40 years of winemaking experience himself, Robert Oatley lends his name to this McLaren Vale Shiraz that has all the hallmarks of an exceptional regional example. Matured for 10 months in French oak and sourced from fruit from around the sub-region of Blewitt Springs, this Shiraz is opulent, fleshy and textured with flavours of blueberries and spice with a lingering, soft finish.

Produced from low yielding, hand harvested vines and made using traditional techniques, D'Arry's Original is a smooth, textured, full bodied red which typifies the generous McLaren style. Always one of those little cellar stars that you can buy up a case or two, hide under the house for a decade and be quietly content that d'Arry's Original will be shining in a decade.

Attractive deep black-red in the glass. Soft and rich berry fruits on the palate. Fine tannins on the finish allow the berry flavours to linger elegantly. The vines are grown on the sandy soil of Blewitt Springs, machine-harvested, crushed, 7 days on skins, matured for 18 months in various hogsheads.

Displays generous aromas of mulberries, dusted with exotic Indian spices. The luscious palate is brimming with both Aniseed and Satsuma plum flavours that seamlessly integrate into the persistent mouth coating tannins.
