Badiola is a winery in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Founded in 2018 by acquiring an existing winery, Badiola offers village and single vineyard wines that display the freshness, elegance and depth of flavours which distinguish Rioja Alavesa. This wine is made from the highest quality, selected Viura grapes from small, old, hilltop vineyard parcels (Parcelas) on limestone soils. Subtle but intriguing on the nose and juicy and refreshing on the palate the Las Parcelas Blanco is a delightfully delicate dry white wine.

A frequent Gold medal winner, Stones & Bones is so-called because it’s grown in a landscape littered with ancient boulders and dinosaur fossils. In the modern Portuguese tradition, the wine is a blend of local and international grapes. Touriga Nacional, the backbone of vintage port, joins forces with Syrah, Tinta Roriz and Alicante to produce truly mammoth, rich fruit flavours. Equally impressive is the winemaker, Diogo Sepúlveda, who relaxes after work by cycling or playing football, or, more unusually, bull wrestling! Having worked in Pomerol, then in the Barossa with heirloom Shiraz vines, his credentials for making this rich, old vine Portuguese red are second to none. Our customers know that it's hard to beat Portugal for flavour and value. So we were particularly excited about this new discovery. Vilarissa Valley is made by the Van Zellers – the family who founded the great Quinta do Noval in 1715. They're renowned for the quality of their winemaking, not only for world class vintage port, but also a red rated as one of the greatest of the last century. For their new Vilarissa Valley, the team sourced grapes from the high, warm Alto Douro, to source local grapes with peerless levels of richness and concentration. The result is a Black Red with velvet smoothness and richness. Gorgeously flavoursome and finished in port barrels for extra spice. An absolute classic that pairs perfectly with steak.

Murrumbateman is perfect area for this variety producing wine with cherry, nutty dominated flavours with a hint of spice and juniper too. The palate is medium weight with a great acid balance and fine tannins. Have with any kind of food that resembles Italian - a great food wine.

Henschke Bursaria Pinot Noir 2023 Fresh, fragrant, and deeply site-driven. The 2023 Bursaria Pinot Noir marks a quiet triumph for Henschke’s Lenswood vineyard, harvested just a few years after the devastating Cudlee Creek bushfire. Prue and Stephen Henschke’s regeneration of this Adelaide Hills site has led to a release that’s not only poised and varietally pure, but also deeply expressive of its restored landscape. Made entirely from pinot noir grown on steep, cool-climate slopes, it opens with lifted aromatics of red cherry, wild strawberry and bergamot, layered with tomato stem, thyme and forest floor. The palate is bright and silken, with fine tannins framing a vibrant core of raspberry and morello cherry. Matured in seasoned French oak barriques for 18 months, it carries both finesse and quiet persistence. Tasting Notes NOSE – Red fruit and herb Wild strawberry, cranberry and cherry with rose petal, dried thyme and a hint of forest floor. PALATE – Silken and detailed Blood plum, raspberry and morello cherry glide across a fine-boned structure with lively acidity. One of Australia's true great wine treasures, Henschke produce a range of wines that are the envy of most. Keyneton Estate is often the first premium wine from this most famous of producers that people try. As such, the attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship of this wine is a testament to the vision and passion of Stephen and Prue Henschke.

Life is about connections, and Daniel is nothing if not a “people person”, we wanted this wine to reflect the everyday quality occasions where fun is had, friends are made and life happens. Peter Munro, St Hugo Chief Winemaker Plush, opulent and generous, a modern masterpiece of open and inviting fruit with a little hint of something more. Various parcels were created individually with the objective of blending these to form a synergistic whole. For this reason, many winemaking techniques were employed, including, cold soaking to ensure vibrant floral were present. Generally, parcels spent between 10-15 days on skins in a mixture of open fermenters and closed statics fermenters, reaching temperatures of 26-28°C, to ensure optimum flavour and tannins were extracted. All the resulting parcels were matured in oak for a short period to maintain their fresh vibrant nature. Good Spring rainfall then set the vines up well for what was to become a very mild and dry ripening season. With no significant rain, temperatures below average and only 3 days above 35°C in February and March, ideal ripening conditions were observed resulting in an extended ripening window; a wonderful vintage. Colour: Bright vibrant red. Taste: Fun, generous lively fresh red fruits dance on the palate with softness and approachability. Fine tannins emerge slowly but are controlled by the plush vibrant cherry fruit that lingers. Aroma: Raspberry, strawberry and spiced plums, with lifted violets to entice and an ever so slight hint of char that adds to the intrigue.
