Henschke Bursaria Pinot Noir

Henschke Bursaria Pinot Noir 2023 Fresh, fragrant, and deeply site-driven. The 2023 Bursaria Pinot Noir marks a quiet triumph for Henschke’s Lenswood vineyard, harvested just a few years after the devastating Cudlee Creek bushfire. Prue and Stephen Henschke’s regeneration of this Adelaide Hills site has led to a release that’s not only poised and varietally pure, but also deeply expressive of its restored landscape. Made entirely from pinot noir grown on steep, cool-climate slopes, it opens with lifted aromatics of red cherry, wild strawberry and bergamot, layered with tomato stem, thyme and forest floor. The palate is bright and silken, with fine tannins framing a vibrant core of raspberry and morello cherry. Matured in seasoned French oak barriques for 18 months, it carries both finesse and quiet persistence. Tasting Notes NOSE – Red fruit and herb Wild strawberry, cranberry and cherry with rose petal, dried thyme and a hint of forest floor. PALATE – Silken and detailed Blood plum, raspberry and morello cherry glide across a fine-boned structure with lively acidity. FINISH – Long and composed Elegant tannins carry lingering fruit and subtle spice. Faiveley Bourgogne Rouge

Based in Nuits-St-Georges, the famous Domaine Faiveley was founded in 1825 and in more recent times, the domaine has greatly expanded its vineyards across the entire Côte d'Or. The grapes are entirely destemmed and fermented in a mix of new wooden vats for the top end wines and stainless steel for the lesser cuvées. This Pinot noir has a beautiful ruby colour. It has pleasant, fresh, red-fruit aromas on the nose, which we find again on the palate. It has rich and very ripe substance, with fine round tannins. It's a very well-structured and pleasing wine.

Sidewood Shiraz

Tucked away nicely in the Adelaide Hills, Sidewood Estate have made an art form out of crafting some of the very best single vineyard cool-climate wines available in Australia. Owen and Cassandra Inglis purchased the boutique property in 2004 and immediately set about making their vision become a reality. Their Sidewood Shiraz displays that vision to perfection. Attention to detail is the key here which enables flavours of red cherry, currants and dark plum to shine through along with hints of cinnamon and spice. The texture is beguiling and gives promise to a wine that will age for up to a decade.

Tasca Lamuri Nero d'Avola

Bright, intense ruby red, Tasca Lamuri Nero d'Avola displays rich aromas of cherry, blackberry and mulberry. Vanilla bean, tobacco and aromatic herbs on the palate lead into dark forest fruits and oak adding a beautifully balanced flavour. Good structure and pleasantly fruity with red and black berries.

An intense, bright cherry-red wine with delicate tawny reflections, showing beautiful legs from its sweet content. On the nose, it reveals a concentrated bouquet of ripe black fruits, licorice, and violets, layered with vanilla, spices, and a touch of toasted bread. On the palate, it is well balanced, with depth and structure, leading to a powerful aftertaste and a long, pleasurable finish. This elegant wine continues to open and evolve for hours in the glass, revealing ever more nuance.

Toni Martin Madrid Chotis Roble

An intensive red wine, crystal clear , bright with light coat and an elegant color, worthy of the Grenache grape. Intensive on nose with leather touch. Well balanced fruit with cocoa and tobacco flavours, clean spicy touch. The aftertaste reminds us redcurrants and raspberries.
