Fragrant notes of cherry and plum with lifted oak notes. Silky smooth palate, beautifully balanced with dark fruit flavours, smooth integrated oak and a long finish. 2017 marks our third vintage of Shiraz from the Hilltops region. We have the pleasure of working with two wonderful growers, who operate some of the very best vineyard sites in the area. Shiraz from Brian Freemans vineyards (Home and Back blocks) makes its way into our Hilltops Shiraz No.1 release, while Jason Browns Moppity Vineyard is the source of our fruit for the Hilltops Shiraz No.2. We try to approach the production of the two wines in a similar fashion, to better highlight the differences between the two vineyards. Warm fermentations followed short cold soak periods, after which maturation took place over 12 months in French oak puncheons approx. 25% new oak. I aim to produce two clean, yet complex, styles of Hilltops Shiraz; honest expressions of where they are grown. I am always enamoured with how Shiraz from this region offers such generosity and intensity, whilst still retaining a medium bodied framework, and trademark cool-climate elegance.balancing the richness of fruit on offer, and building some impressive structure and drive. The grapes for the Marksmans Shiraz come from vineyards situated in Murrumbateman and the combination of the regions loamy clay, pre-Cambrian era soils and classic continental climate of low rainfall, freezing winters and a wide temperature range during the growing months, ensure that the fruit grown is consistently of the highest quality.

Ravensworth Estate Shiraz Viognier Its hard to fully describe the Ravensworth Estate Shiraz Viognier without some reference to the Langtons Classified Exceptional Clonakilla SV. Ravensworth co-founder and winemaker Bryan Martin has been Tim Kirks righthand man at Clonakilla since 2004. He even makes his wines at the Clonakilla winery. But the fruit is all Ravensworth. ...'made from fruit grown our way.'- Bryan Martin Bryan Martins approach in the vineyard to encourage the health of the soil and diversity of the plant life. The wine is edgier than its Clonakilla equivalent but theres no mistaking the Rhône-inspired red-fruited, spicy, aromatic and floral style of Murrumbateman SV. It is one of the most desirable and sought-after wines from the region.

This medium bodied wine has a lifted bouquet of cherry and rich earthiness. The palate of cherries and spice has a clean savoury finish. Enjoy with Italian food.

Deep magenta in colour. Beautifully ripe, red fruit aromas coalesce in a generous and wonderful regional signature. Plum, cherry and raspberry fruit flavours occupy centre stage, while French oak influence provides further depth of flavour and supportive length.

The Spanish fieasta is here – crack out the Tempranillo (tem-prah-ni-yo) and serve up the chorizo. My forefathers were from Spain, but I am a local through and through. I grew up in the Canberra region and my grapes were carefully picked by hand, only the best will do so naturally I was aged in French oak. I have a curvaceous medium body, a rich mouth feel and plum fruit flavours with earthy hints of mature spice and black tea tannin.

Matured in French oak for 14 months, Murrumateman Shiraz 750mL is fresh and lively. Using tradtional methods, the fruit is dry fermented and bag pressed for optimal flavour. The palate is full of intense berry flavours with lingering spice and subtle tannins.

Season The 2021/2022 growing season commenced with good spring rains, giving way to a temperate summer. Mild, cool conditions through to harvest yielded beautifully clean fruit and ripe tannins. Viticulture Shiraz is grown on a number of elevated sites with deep granitic loams in the Hilltops region. Winemaking Grapes are harvested at around 13 Baumé, to capture freshness and purity at optimal ripeness. The destemmed grapes are open-fermented and worked with remontage and délestage. Malolactic fermentation and maturation takes place in Allier and Tronçais oak before blending and bottling at 12 months age. Lifted violets, red fruits, ripe cherry and gentle spice yield to a palate of dark plums, sweet fleshy tannins and a long, resonant finish. Decant before serving.

Our Sangiovese shows cherry and mulberry aromas, with cinnamon & clove spices and a fully flavoured and savoury palate with soft tannins. Sangiovese is perfect for Australian cuisine, suiting red meats and strong flavours from the BBQ - yet, given its Italian origins, it is no surprise that the lighter structure and vibrancy make our Sangiovese the perfect choice for more casual occasions and a wide range of dishes.

Tim Kirk has quickly become Australia's Shiraz-Superstar. With cool-climate vineyards that are managed pefectly and with expert guidance, Clonakilla is a must have for all serious wine lovers. Tim's Hilltops Shiraz has luscious dark Shiraz fruit, with blackberry, roasted meat and gentle spice in the background. The tannins are ripe, the fruit juicy, the finish long and savoury. Superb.
