The Barossa we love today was heavily influenced by the Barossa Deutsche. Their legacy can still be clearly seen in the patchwork of vineyards across the Valley floor today.Using only fruit from a friends old vines, the 2017 Vintage was matured for 2years in a blend of French and American oak. Black Cherries are apparent on the nose, backed-up on the palate by cassis and spice-laden chocolate. 2017 Clifton Estate Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon, Deep red with hints of garnet at the edge of the glass. Blackcurrant and liquorice fruit paired with subtle leaf and savoury spice on the nose. The palate is ripe and rich with balanced fruit and oak. Varietal flavours of cassis, nutmeg and plum lead to fine grained, savoury tannins.

A classic Australian blend of Cabernet and Shiraz. Typically rich, dense, with red berries complexity and dark chocolate notes. Full-bodied. Defnitely a long palate. A classic for good reasons.

HENSCHKE Marble Angel Vineyard Cabernet, Barossa Valley

Impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olive escape from the glass trailed by some cigar box, bay leaf and spice. Rich blackcurrant and plum fruits are interwoven with a cedary tobacco, subtle black olive and spicy bay leaf characters. Fine grained tannins provide a sturdy support base. Concludes long, ripe and spicy. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Alc. 14.2%

VINEYARD: Paradigm Vineyard, Seppeltsfield Rd Marananga MATURATION: 20 Months in 225L French Oak Casks

Full and rich in the mouth. Full bodied with a saturation of black and blue toned berries. Tannins are firm and fine grained with alcohol and acid nicely integrated into the structure of the wine. Complex flavours of preserved dark fruits overlaid with a suggestion of marzipan. A fresh, tight finish with hints of eucalyptus.
