Winstar CABERNET SHIRAZ BAROSSA VALLEY
A refined blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, this wine balances vibrant fruit aromatics with a touch of sweetness and a full body.
Grant Burge Nebu Cab Shiraz
The third release of Nebu. Rich dark purple, almost ink, with a bright and deep purple hue. There is no holding back on the palate, with rich and powerful fruit. Lots of dark red fruits dominating the middle palate, with notes of chocolate layered in the background. Brilliantly balanced with warm spice and sweet vanilla, that are influenced by the oak usage and a firm tannin structure.
OR Grant Burge Shadrach
Classic Cabernet through and through — think rich cassis, hints of mint chocolate and a touch of tobacco leaf. This Barossa Valley beauty shows depth and concentration, yet remains silky and inviting. Dark fruits flood the palate, finishing with a smooth smoky cedar note. Elegant and structured, it’s drinking beautifully now but will continue to reward with a little more time in the cellar.
OR Krondorf Winemakers Cabernet Sauvingnon
Honouring a Barossa legacy dating back to 1847, this modern expression showcases blackberry and blackcurrant aromas that flow seamlessly onto the palate. Layers of spice, mocha and choc-mint add depth, supported by well-integrated oak and classic, structured tannins. Perfectly cellared, it’s drinking beautifully now with richness and balance in every glass.
Whites Road 517 Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Grapes from different vineyards were picked separately when they reached an optimum level of flavour. Each parcel was cold macerated for five days and fermented in open-top fermenters. This wine is deep red with a vibrant purple hue. It has bright aromas of rich blackcurrant, subtle spice, tomato leaf and a touch of cassis and violets. The palate shows vibrant ripe blackberry flavours and nutty toasted oak. The tannins are fine and elegant giving the wine length and poise
Crossover Barossa Cabernet Shiraz
The grapes were crushed and de-stemmed into fermenters. The winemaker pumped the fermenters twice a day to maximise colour, tannin and flavour extraction. Yeast was added and after crushing was put into a mix of French and American oak to mature for 12 months. Leafy varietal aroma is balanced by ripe plum, licorice and subtle eucalyptus characters on the nose. Beautiful dark fruits and soft tannins dominate the palate. Maturation in French oak gives spices and cedar characters. The wine has a good acidity and structure with a long persistence on the finish.
Lost Wolf Barossa Valley Reserve Cabernet
The aromas of mocha and dark caramel invite you in immediately. It continues to delight with sweet red and dark fruits and a touch of white pepper. The silky tannins and balanced oak provide a smooth texture. With its deep ruby red colour, it pairs well with juicy steak, cheese, or can be enjoyed on its own. This is one for the lovers of BIG Red.
