Notes of mint and five-spice are evident on a sturdily constructed palate of black olive, herbs and dark fruits alongside fine, ripe tannins that will support the development of additional character and complexity if cellared.

Domaine Asmara, located in the heart of the rich Cambrian region of Heathcote in Victoria, is a family owned and operated vineyard that produces small parcels of exceptional fruit that is transformed into complex and flavoursome wines just like this Private Collection Shiraz. 'Asmara' translated from Indonesian to means 'Love & Passion' - a character than is intrinsic in this boutique Shiraz.

A complex and attractive mix of dark and blue fruits with earthy undertones. Blood plums and black currants, liquorice and spice. A hint of truffles and oak in the mix. Medium bodied, fleshy and supple, the palate is textured and layered. Plum, aniseed and spice follow from the nose and the wine has lovely depth without being overbearing. Ripe, fine tannins and good length with dark fruits and a hint of oak.

This elegant and complex Malbec was aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels and expresses aromas of black fruit, jam and vanilla, with a subtle touch of liquorice. This wine has a great structure and lingering finish.

Fruit for this wine was hand selected from single-site Heathcote vineyard at the foot of Mt Camel ranges. The wine was aged in both seasoned French barriques and state of the art stainless steel tanks for four months. It is straw gold in colour and displays notes of honey suckle, blossom and baked apples. The palate is layered with good balance between fruit and acidity. Alcohol 14.0% /vol.
