The now much sought after Righteous range of wines from Kym Teusner was first established in 2005 with the Grenache and this is the latest incarnation of this foreboding Barossa wine. Sourced from an 80 year old bush-vine vineyard, the Righteous Grenache was gently crushed and fermented in open fermenters with regular pump-overs. Maturation was completed in a mix of French and American oak and has resulted in a modern classic Grenache.

Michel Chapoutier has been able to do it again! A savoury masterpiece from the southern Rhône appellation of Luberon. A spicy blend of Grenache and Syrah that displays intense varietal characters of nutmeg and black pepper. The palate, while medium-bodied, is quite forceful with robust flavours of blueberry and blackberry fruits. Great use of older oak has also assisted this Luberon be a brilliant follow on from the every popular Chapoutier Côteaux-du-Tricastin.

A blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre that is simply world-class and has quality that sits well above its amazing price point! A lovely perfumed aroma with hints of violets is matched with supple plummy fruit flavour and soft persistent tannin on the palate.

Les Trois Clefs Côtes du Rhône comprises a fulfilling experience of true Rhone Valley wine. With its medium deep colour, musky red berry licorice aromas, juicy flavours, looseknit chalky tannins and mineral length, it is ready to drink now.

Intense, mineral-accented aromas of cherry, cassis and violets. Juicy with sweet dark berry flavours, bitter chocolate and candied flowers. Powerful and vibrant with excellent balance and clarity. Fine-grained tannins lead a long, spicy, penetrating finish. It will age gracefully.

Grenache has long been a stalwart of the South Australian wine scene and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950's. Recent years has seen a growing trend for the luscious perfumed styles like those emanating out of the northern Rhône and the Bin 138 produces a brilliant example. Grenache has always been a cornerstone of d'Arenberg's red wines and this is one of the benchmarks of the variety. Produced from old low yielding vines it is a wine of great character and intensity. Showing none of the sickly confectionery characters that can plague this variety, it's all about elegant, savoury spice.

A savoury spicy blend aged in seasoned oak. The nose shows plum, raspberry and tarry aromas and the medium bodied palate displays blackberry licorice and rich earthy flavours with fine, supple tannins.
