From the marriage of the Queen and King of the Langhe, Barbera and Nebbiolo, comes Lautus, a wine of extreme finesse and nobility, destined for a long life. Lautus, from the Latin “elegant, distinguished,” embodies the best characteristics of the two grape varieties that make it up: the intense ruby and softness of Barbera are complemented by the austere and tannic trait of Nebbiolo, to give it structure and longevity. Lautus is the expression of two opposite characters that meet and complement each other in a relationship of perfect balance.

The first and only Barbera planted in the Hunter. This juicy red has become the biggest seller at Margan's cellar door and the former 2019 vintage took out a Trophy.
