The fruit for this Onannon Mornington Pinot Gris was handpicked and pressed immediately into the tank. It is then settled overnight and racked to both tank and old barrels. A cool fermentation took place over two months during which the wine was stirred regularly to increase texture. Resulting in wine with great aromas such as ripe pears, mixed stone fruits with hints of cooked green apple in the background. It then leads to a full flavoured, textured palate with a delightful finish.

Yalumba Premium Selection Pinot Grigio offers crisp flavours of pear and apple, while showing lovely textures and soft acidity. It's the perfect complement to antipasto.

Cool climate winemaking guru, Tim Knappstein, has really nailed this wine in the true Gris style its vibrant, intense, flavoursome and textural yet has a lightness of touch. The Coonawarra fruit brings great natural acidity and citrus freshness, whilst the Wrattonbully bring tropical fruit flavours. VINTAGE NOTE: 2022 was a strong vintage, with stable conditions and harvest starting a little later than recent years. The crop levels were moderate, with aslight frost in November reducing the white varieties significantly from previous years.The resultant wines are concentrated and intense with great fruit flavours.

Later harvested Barossa fruit allows the ripe honeydew melon and white peach flavours to shine, complemented by delightful honeysuckle and lime aromas. Our winemakers believe that truly great wines are made in the vineyard. They work closely with local grape growers to capture the individual essence of each site, to create excellent wines that express a sense of place.
