A bright light emerging from the Hunter, Boydell's are kicking some goals already. The wines are made by the talented Liz Silkman, from quality fruit.Bright mid lemon colour. Subtle white peach and ginger aromas. Clean, dry and fresh with good citrussy fruit intensity and stonefruit depth in a youthful and spicy frame with good development potential.

The Drayton’s Bull Paddock vineyard, planted in 1965, is the basis for this impressive Chardonnay. This wine is light, golden yellow in colour with a tinge of green. The aromas are of fig and tropical fruits with obvious and well- integrated French oak and yeast complexity. The wine has a round palate with layers of flavour and a well structured mouth feel.

Easy drinking and very approachable. Smooth oak from some barrel fermentation gives this wine backbone and longevity, rather than dominates. Some crisp citrus and stonefruit characters remain at the fore, keeping it fresh.

Tasting Notes: A complex, balanced wine that is ageing very well, white gold in colour with aromas of vanilla and tropical fruits, the palate is packed with ripe stonefruit and a lingering oaky finish from barrel fermenting and ageing in new French oak hogsheads. - Analysis: - Alcohol: 13.0% - pH: 3.27 - TA: 6.8.
