Brokenwood Shiraz is a ripe and generous Shiraz with lifted cherry and mint aromas nicely balanced with sweet chocolate notes on the nose and a soft rich palate with savoury cedary flavours and fine grained tannins on the finish.

Made by Rockstar winemaker Ben Riggs, the McLaren Vale Shiraz is as true an expression as one could hope for. The fifth release of the wine is based around a core of pristine fruit with dark red berries, hints of spice, earth, tar and leather and with seamlessly integrated oak. Ripe tannins are apparent but not overwhelming, meaning this is a wine which can be enjoyed now or in the next 10-15 years.

The single vineyard fruit is crushed and soaked on skins for two hours to extract a lovely pink colour. It's lightly pressed, cold settled and fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain fresh aromas and flavours throughout. Enjoy a fruity nose of strawberry and orange, while flavours of mixed berries, lightly spiced red cherry and zingy citrus burst in your mouth. With less than 0.1% of sugar per bottle, this Rose is light-bodied, vegan friendly, and incredibly refreshing. A deliberate move away fom old-fashioned cloying, sweeter pinks of the past – "Now we have fresh, energetic and dry wines, just like this. 100% Shiraz, this Rosé saw twenty-one days ferment.
