Tyrrell's Vat 1 Semillon is one of Australia's great white wines and has the capacity to age superbly in the bottle. This Fish Cage Chardonnay contains small amounts of Verdelho and Viognier, which enhance the uniqueness as well as complexity of the wine. Showing a bright straw green colour, this Hunter Valley Chardonnay exudes fragrances of white pear, tropical fruit and citrus from its luscious bouquet. The palate is full flavoured and fleshy, seamlessly balancing the ripe Chardonnay flavours with nuances from Verdelho and Viognier. This wine tastes best consumed with shellfish, pastas and fish pates.

Floral fruit in youth, moving towards biscuity characters with age. A generally softer bodied palate with smoother acids than the Vat 1 and Belford Semillons.

This premium Semillon is the traditional expression of the Hunter style. It has an attractive honey bouquet, with soft full bodied citrus & lime flavours. The finish is crisp and dry. Drinking nicely now, but with further careful cellaring it will develop the creamy & toasty characters, for which Hunter Semillon is revered.
