Feudo Arancio Grillo
The aromatic richness of the Grillo grape makes this an ideal wine to pair with summer dishes.
Aluado Chardonnay
Portugal offers wine drinkers terrific value in the wine drinking stakes, as well as an awe inspiring range of native grapes. The country’s winemakers are also adept at producing some cracking wines with international stars. Take Aluado from one of Portugal’s top names. José Neiva Correia is a doyen of Portuguese wine with many awards to his name. Having consulted for many of the country’s top cellars, he now has his own estate, and combines generations of tradition with an inquisitive spirit undimmed by decades of experience. Using grapes from vineyards close to the coast, Aluado has lovely ripe peach fruit balanced by a zing of stony crispness. Just what you want, as a glass on its own, or served with seafood, salmon or chicken dishes.
Alba Martin Albarino
100% delicious Albarino produced on the Atlantic coast in Galicia in the north west of Spain, between two estuaries. Of course, the food match here is seafood, pulpo (octopus) in particular. It's so delightful with intense and elegant aromas, alongside hints of white stone fruits and white flowers. The proximity to the sea gives the wine its freshness and saltiness and the granitic soils enhance its natural minerality. On the palate, the wine is rounded and full- bodied, with a light petillance that adds to its vivacious sense of freshness, and there's an impressive persistence on the finish. For those not familiar with Albarino, this wine will surprise and delight. And for the lucky ones who have visited Galicia, the memories will come flooding back.
David Hook Pinot Grigio
David Hook has over 25 years experience with Tyrrell's and Lake's Folly, and in that time established his family vineyard in the Lower Hunter Valley. The Pinot Grigio is a warm climate interpretation, full of rich, sweet fruit and spice with acidity in support.
Mr Mick Riesling
With the name of Tim Adams behind this exciting Riesling, it isn't hard to see why many have fallen in love with the wonderful, casual style aromatic white. Rich in lemon curd, lime aromas and flavour and with a touch of sweetness, this wine lends itself to some easy food matching; especially with Asian cuisine. Mouth-watering acidity and length of flavour will have you also falling in love with great Clare Valley Riesling.
Monsieur Plumage Chardonnay
A very clever inquisitive character with that glint in his eye, a spring in his step and his exquisite taste and appreciation for the finer things in life, he's never without a "feather out of place" except for when he finds those "shiny treasures" that make life that little bit more interesting. Aromas and flavours of a ripe, fresh and plush textured wine with apple, quince and citrus at the core, some textures from lees and wood spices then a nut and citrus peel quality. Moderate weight and intensity. Value French chardy.
Il Papavero Pinot Grigio
As Richard Baudains of Decanter notes, "Everybody's talking about how fantastic today's best Sicilian wines are." That's certainly true of this crisp, fruity Pinot Grigio from Scipione Giuliani, the genius behind the bestselling Il Papavero range. It's laden with sunshine crispness and light, bright fruit. A sensational match to fresh seafood!
Xanadu Fusion Chardonnay
Xanadu Fusion Chardonnay gives an elegant bouquet full of pears, grapefruit and gala apples with underlying hints of nougat and cashew. The palate is medium bodied displaying white fleshed stone fruits and zesty citrus flavours. The wine offers an almost crystalline minerality, complimented by a lovely creamy/marshmallow texture derived from lees stirring whilst in barrel. Taut and fresh, the bright fruit and crisp acidity combine to focus the wine perfectly to a lingering fruit finish.
Toi Toi Sauvignon Blanc
Typical Marlborough fresh tropical fruits and grapefruit on the nose followed by refreshing acidity on the palate with passionfruit and gooseberry varietal flavours. Very Marlborough, very affordable!
Tahbilk Marsanne
Distinguished by true to the varietal lemon, citrus, spice and tropical fruits, a delightful edge of minerality and crunchy fresh acidity, Tahbilk Marsanne can be enjoyed as a current vintage release or allowed to develop signature honeysuckle and marmalade characters if carefully cellared.
