John Harris (renowned winemaker behind the Shanahans label) has crafted some serious Shiraz.

This wine consumes your senses with blackberry, liquorice, tobacco leaf, black olive, Christmas pudding, earth and hints of oak and pepper. The palate is abound with mocha, dark chocolate and black fruits. Shanahans provides the layers of flavour in this round and voluptuous wine with fine, soft tannins that fill all the senses. Temple Bruer Preservative Free Rose has loads of yummy cherry and pineapple flavours and a nice dry finish. Goes really well with sweet chilli dishes or Asian food.

Spinifex Esprit is a Grenache Mataro blend that has a vibrant, youthful and fresh palate driven by a tangy herb infused line of red fruit red currant, sour red plum, pomegranate and marjoram that gains warmth and depth turning to tobacco, game, cedar and darker fruit to close. Pulpy, fleshy fruit is drawn long with plum skin acids and stony tannins.

An exceptional Barossan Shiraz from the artisan cult producer, Spinifex. The Miette (mee-yet) Shiraz has a delightful balance and charm with flavours of cherry, blueberry and hints of earthy spice, held by finely structured tannins. Succulent, layered and fleshy, the Miette label is a great introduction to the hand-crafted wines from Spinifex.

Chris Ringland Shiraz 2005 represents an outstanding expression from the vineyard. The vine is powerful, voluptuous and ripe, yet the tannins are plush and mature, with moderate acidity. This vintage will have great longevity potential.

Vinification is simple and centred around preserving the delicacy, freshness and vitality found in early picked old vine fruit. This Spinifex Rose consists of Grenache (52%), Cinsault (30 %), Mataro (14%) and Ugni blanc (4%). Bunches from mature (averaging 65 years of age) dry drown vineyards are hand harvested and the crushed and left to macerate for between 4 and 48 hrs prior to pressing.

Turkey Flat Rosé is a blend of four varieties in which each adds it's own particular character. Dominated by Grenache, this revolutionary Rosé has cherry, strawberry and herbal notes with fresh acidity and just the right amount of fresh fruit sweetness to carry it off. Perfect on it's own or matched with a plate of freshly barbecued prawns.

The Kalleske and Schroeter families produce amazing Barossa Shiraz. Jacks Shiraz has the pure blackberry flavours and concentration that is usually associated with wines double the price.
