Birthday Wine Cylinder “Hip Hip Hooray It’s Your Birthday”. Bleasdale's Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris grapes are grown by specialist Adelaide Hills growers. The fruit is handpicked directly into a refrigerated container where it is cooled all day, then delivered to the historic Bleasdale cellars at dusk for whole bunch pressing in the cool of the evening. This delicate wine shows all the spice and perfume we expect from cool climate Pinot Gris. Nashi, ginger and rosewater perfume leads to a generous and textured palate with nutty complexity from the barrel ferment component. A satisfying yet moreish wine, textured and complex middle palate, with a hint of sweetness to complement spicy foods.

Pale straw colour. Light, ripe pear aromas. Medium body. Round, soft and well balanced. Pleasant stonefruit flavour, finishing with cleansing acidity.

Aromas of freshly cut hay and slight hints of guava lead into more subtle notes of pear. On the palate, the wine is balanced with perfect natural acidity that reveals the refreshing yet subtle flavors of litchi and green apple. This wine reflects the ripe, succulent Pinot Grigio flavors that the grapes show on the vine. Enjoy as an aperitif or pair with almost any seafood or light pasta dish.Our Pinot Grigio comes from the rolling Piacine hills of San Benito AVA, where the well drained limestone soils pair well with a moderated climate and precision viticulture. The valleys in this region help channel cool air from the cold Pacific Ocean only 20 or 30 miles away from the vineyard, thus reducing day and night time temperatures. Well suited to Pinot Grigio, the region is often cooler than many parts of the Napa Valley, yet receives the same amount of sunlight, preserving the bright acidity and developing the expressive aromatics of the grape.After the dramatic end to the 2017 vintage the 2018 vintage was a return to normal, although a normal we've not seen in years. Mild conditions throughout flowering meant fruit set was extended and successful, ultimately leading to high yields slowing down ripening. The hot temperatures in July and August relented from September onward. There were no late season heat spikes or serious harvest rain events which meant the hang time of the grapes could be extended. The result was naturally balanced wines, lower in alcohol that retained good amounts of natural acidity. This was one of the longest harvests we've seen since 2011, starting on the 31st of August and ending on the 5th of November and can be summed up as a "Classic" vintage. Definitely one to follow closely.

Ruby red colour with violet dark hints. Intense, complex, fruity aroma, with notes of small red fruits, cherries and blackberries. Velvety and soft texture, warm and quite tannic. with long persistence. Excellent with savory pasta dishes, lamb, game with rich sauces, seasoned cheeses.

Scorpo produces another excellent example of Pinot Gris from the Mornington Peninsula. Lifted aromas of pear apricot and green apple lead into a palate rich and silky in texture, the flavours showing depth and complexity, the acidity in perfect balance.

Yabby Lake Vineyard Single Vineyard, Pinot Gris, Mornington Peninsula Hailing from the Tuerong region of Mornington Peninsula, this Pinot Gris is a pure single-vineyard wine that reflects the terroir. While Tom Carsons adds some winemaking techniques to give texture to the fresh cool-climate Gris. The fruit is hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed prior to being wild fermented half on steel and half on old French 500L puncheons.

This exceptional Pinot Gris from Amisfield shows pronounced aromatics of roasting quince, bees wax and orange blossom. The palate is broad, complex, rich and textured while remaining elegant, with a dry finish.

Bright, intense ruby red, Tasca Lamuri Nero d'Avola displays rich aromas of cherry, blackberry and mulberry. Vanilla bean, tobacco and aromatic herbs on the palate lead into dark forest fruits and oak adding a beautifully balanced flavour. Good structure and pleasantly fruity with red and black berries.

Oscar·697 Bianco has a strong notes of Bergamot, Yarrow Muscat and Elderflower. It is 16% ABV, while the sugar level is kept relatively low at 14% to ensure the final product is drier and more bitter than other labels.
