Anna and Jason Flowerday run the Te Whare Ra vineyard in Marlborough according to organic and bio-dynamic practices. The fruit is picked and sorted by hand, then processed in a winery especially designed for small-batch wine-making. This dry Pinot Gris is finely structured with great purity and length of flavour. Lifted aromas of nashi pear, raspberry, red apple and white florals follow on to the palate, where they're balanced by a fine, supple texture and lingering minerality.

In their Pinot Gris notes of pear, quince and honeyed spice can be found in abundance along with a luscious mouth feel and length of flavour.

Pale straw colour. Light, ripe pear aromas. Medium body. Round, soft and well balanced. Pleasant stonefruit flavour, finishing with cleansing acidity.

On the palate, the wine is balanced with perfect natural acidity that reveals the refreshing yet subtle flavors of litchi and green apple. Enjoy as an aperitif or pair with almost any seafood or light pasta dish.Our Pinot Grigio comes from the rolling Piacine hills of San Benito AVA, where the well drained limestone soils pair well with a moderated climate and precision viticulture. The valleys in this region help channel cool air from the cold Pacific Ocean only 20 or 30 miles away from the vineyard, thus reducing day and night time temperatures. Well suited to Pinot Grigio, the region is often cooler than many parts of the Napa Valley, yet receives the same amount of sunlight, preserving the bright acidity and developing the expressive aromatics of the grape.After the dramatic end to the 2017 vintage the 2018 vintage was a return to normal, although a normal we've not seen in years. Mild conditions throughout flowering meant fruit set was extended and successful, ultimately leading to high yields slowing down ripening. The hot temperatures in July and August relented from September onward. There were no late season heat spikes or serious harvest rain events which meant the hang time of the grapes could be extended. The result was naturally balanced wines, lower in alcohol that retained good amounts of natural acidity. This was one of the longest harvests we've seen since 2011, starting on the 31st of August and ending on the 5th of November and can be summed up as a "Classic" vintage. Definitely one to follow closely.

The Pinot Gris from the Long Road range of the Eden Road wines has lifted aromas of strawberry shortcake and ripe pears. These delicate characters are balanced with fine natural acid and textural palate. The slightly extended skin contact prior to pressing gives the wine the lovely pink colour, making it evermore appetizing. The finishing is crisp and clean. Simply seamless.

On the nose it is clean and intense with raspberrymelon and grapefruit underlined with a floral note of rose andbroom. The palate is dry, elegant and fresh. It can besilky and even saline.

Beautifully perfumed with lime, pear, white flowers and notes of fresh herbs. Its subtle acidity along with a hint of saltiness, makes the wine fresh, precise and tasty.
