F.G.R. Stands for Forty Grams Residual. Made in an homage to the Germanic Kabinett style, it is loaded with forward fruit, and plenty of luscious residual sugar, but enough fine acid carries the palate to a crisp dry finish.

Well known for his Barossa Valley Red wines, Kym Teusner is equally at home producing lifted aromatic white wines from hand selected vineyards high in the Eden Valley. His The Empress Riesling comes from a block near Keyneton (about 400m above sea level) and from the Southern Eden Valley adjacent to the High Eden. Both parcels are handled differently with the Keyneton handled oxidatively to had textural notes and shape and the Southern fruit kept clean to offer racing acidity and vibrant citrus notes. Conceived as a white wine development program, the Bin 51 Riesling soon became one of Penfolds' star performers. Eden Valley is an obvious choice of region for Riesling due to the higher altitude and cool climate. The wine offers delicate aromas of fresh cut apples and pears with a twist of lemon and minerality towards the end. A great deal of fruits and acidity makes for an interesting white wine with propensity to age gracefully if carefully cellared.

Lark Hill sits high a top the Canberra District wine region, some 840m above sea level. This altitude allows their fragrant aromatic whites to truly sing. The Riesling is brilliantly restrained which can be tasted in the overt mineral nature of the wine. Lively citrus blossom with white flowers can also be seen.
