This Riesling from Bream Creek is made from vines over 40 years old. It has a rich nose, showing freshly cut lime, French citron tart, spice and floral notes. The palate reveals vibrant lime, lemon and grapefruit balanced against taut and lively Tasmanian acidity, resulting in a wine with excellent length and a crisp, refreshing finish. It is perfectly suited to fresh Tasmanian seafood and spicy Asian cuisine.

F.G.R. Stands for Forty Grams Residual. Made in an homage to the Germanic Kabinett style, it is loaded with forward fruit, and plenty of luscious residual sugar, but enough fine acid carries the palate to a crisp dry finish.

Conceived as a white wine development program, the Bin 51 Riesling soon became one of Penfolds' star performers. Eden Valley is an obvious choice of region for Riesling due to the higher altitude and cool climate. The wine offers delicate aromas of fresh cut apples and pears with a twist of lemon and minerality towards the end. A great deal of fruits and acidity makes for an interesting white wine with propensity to age gracefully if carefully cellared.

Lark Hill sits high a top the Canberra District wine region, some 840m above sea level. This altitude allows their fragrant aromatic whites to truly sing. The Riesling is brilliantly restrained which can be tasted in the overt mineral nature of the wine. Lively citrus blossom with white flowers can also be seen.

This Riesling by Lethbridge is Germanic in style, with fruit sourced from vines planted in 1982 at Barretts Vineyards near Drumborg. It is made using traditional German wine-making techniques, the hand-picked grapes were whole bunch pressed into tank for fermentation by wild yeast on partial solids. Fresh grapefruit acidity, underlying grapefruit, a dash of sherbet, some early bottle maturation honey and just a hint of ripe mango/peach fruit, all topped off with some yeast funk.

Eden Hall Reserve Riesling made from fruit from select rows in block 8 with a south western aspect. It is pale straw yellow showing a lifted, perfumed floral nose with hints of lavender. Steely minerality on the palate with more lemon than lime. A tight, single minded classic Eden Valley Rizza of impecable pedigree smugly basking in its understated nobility.

Pewsey Vale The Contours Riesling is created using small parcels of fruit, individually selected and put aside for future release. This release has intense lime aromas, marmalade and hint of toast with lovely minerality and a lingering finish. Louisa Rose has created a brilliant example of premium Eden Valley Riesling

Wirra Wirra The Lost Watch Riesling is individually handpicked which results in a truly stunning wine. Paul Smith has created an Adelaide Hills wonder here with intense lime juice, apple and mineral singing in unison reaching a crescendo on the finish.

Penfolds began releasing the Bin 51 Riesling in the 1990s as part of the evolving white wine development program. The Eden Valley was chosen as the region for this Riesling due to the high altitude and cool climate that results in wines of intense aromatics and superb textural mouth feel. Flavours of apples, pears and bright citrus are commonplace. The Bin 51 has also shown a great propensity to age in the bottle extremely well.

In true Leo Buring tradition this is another quintessential Clare Valley delight. The wine is perfect drinking as a fresh lively style and it will blossom and grow in stature as it ages.
