Tenute Rossetti Chianti DOCG
The colour is light ruby red with garnet reflections, it smells fine with scent of cherries, wild berry fruits, violet and spicy hints, dry and fresh, with good body and agreeable tannins and spicy hints in flavour. When young it is excellent with rich flavoured dishes, especially the traditional specialities of Tuscan cuisine.
Castello Di Albola Chianti Classico
In 1979, the Zonin family acquired Castello di Albola situated in Radda at the heart of the Chianti Classico DOCG appellation. The estate has earned various accolades for its wines. Castello di Albola Chianti Classico DOCG is intense and elegant with floral lily notes and hints of spices, pepper, cinnamon and tobacco. Decisive, voluminous and gently tannic on the palate. Long and lingering finish.
Fantini Puglia Igp Giro Sangiovese Merlot
Sangiovese
The wonderful Italian grape, Sangiovese, is one of the oldest known varieties in the world. Its beauty lies in its ability to produce wines that are highly concentrated in flavour yet have a lighter, more approachable structure than Cabernet or Shiraz. This Sangiovese is a perfect example of this accessible, ready to drink style. The grapes were crushed to open fermenters and approximately 30% of the juice was removed to produce our Sangiovese Rose. The remaining juice was fermented on skins for 10 days. The wine was then pressed and transferred to 1 and 2 year old French barriques. The wine was racked frequently to aerate and soften the tannins. This Sangiovese is imbued with sweet cherry and leather tones and loaded with fabulous smoky chocolate and mushroom characters. The savoury tannins and complex fruit characters make this an ideal food wine. Great with any tomato based dishes.
The Hedonist McLaren Vale Sangiovese
All hedonists will adore this 93pt, Great Value McLaren Vale Sangiovese. It's "So varietally distinct, cherry scented, spicy, savoury and mineral of feel. This is also frisky, freshly cast and so engagingly drinkable.e...throughly delicious." (Marcus Ellis, The Halliday Wine Companion). The Hedonist is the enterprise of Walter Clappis, who has been making wine in McLaren Vale for nearly 40 years and has won innumerable Trophies and Gold medals. His daughtewr Kimberly Cooter helps him with the winemaking.
