The 2024 vintage of d'Arenberg's The Noble Bortyotinia Fuckeliana Sauvignon Blanc from McLaren Vale is a stunning representation of South Australian winemaking. The wine is a beautiful pale yellow in colour, with delicate aromas of passionfruit, green apple, and freshly cut grass. On the palate, the wine bursts with flavours of ripe tropical fruits, balanced by a crisp acidity and subtle minerality. This Sauvignon Blanc is made from the rare Fuckeliana grape, which adds a unique depth and complexity to the wine. It is then aged in French oak barrels, adding a creamy texture and subtle hints of vanilla. The result is a luscious and well-rounded wine, perfect for enjoying on a warm summer day or pairing with seafood dishes. Dark cherry red, with a deep violet hue, this is an incredibly aromatic varietal cabernet. Showing great intensity with bright berry fruits and mashed raspberry, together with licorice spice and espresso coffee. The palate is vibrant and fresh, building with layers of fruit, toasty oak and fine Cabernet tannins. It finishes with hints of anise spice, dark cocoa and cassis fruit.

Planted in the late 19th century, the High Trellis vineyard was the first d'Arenberg vineyard to be trained above knee height. For the past four decades, a Cabernet Sauvignon has been produced from the vineyard to critical acclaim, even winning the Jimmy Watson trophy in 1969. Winemaker Paul Gordon is making good use of the beautifully sited mature Hamilton vineyards to produce superb McLaren Vale reds such as this ripe robust deeply flavoured Cabernet.

The rich and full-bodied Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon, named after a neighbouring road, is based on "parent of the Reynell Clone" material, renowned for its low yield, violet blackcurrant aromas and naturally high acidity. This is a classic "best-of-vintage" Australian-style Cabernet Sauvignon, with a great reputation for aging. Typically it shows intense mulberry, violet, cedar aromas with rich cassis, plum, dark chocolate flavours, muscular tannins and underlying savoury oak. After vinification in headed-down open fermenters, fermentation is completed in barrel. 18 months maturation in new and old French oak follows. Older wines may show a touch of earthy, sage, mint characters.

Full of crisp citrus with luscious peach and nectarine stone. Honeysuckle and a hint of melon provide added complexity. The acid backbone coats the mouth and the long herbaceous finish leaves you just wanting more.

Lifted fragrances of fresh grass and citrus are given off by the lovely bouquet of this elegant Sauv Blanc. The crisp and refreshing palate is balanced by mouth-watering acidity.
