This Semillon from a sustainably farmed vineyard in the Hunter Valley region was hand picked from 40 year old Semillon vines. The grapes were then fermented with skins, pressed, and barrel aged for 3 months in old Chardonnay French oak. There was no additions, fining or filtration of the wine when bottled. The result is a textural, juicy wine with a zesty dry finish, with flavours of mandarin marmalade and a hint of lemon.

This is a classic, long-time award-winner from the Hunter Valley, and the latest edition does not disappoint. Citrus notes bring a zest to this wine with a finish that lingers like an old friend.

Glenguin Vineyard was first planted in the 1980s and an average vine age now over 25 years with each wine coming from a small individual block on the property. Organic and biodynamic farming principles are followed at Glenguin where things are still done by hand from planting through vine training to pruning and handpicking at vintage.
