The Dune El Beyda Grenache Blanc Grenache Gris Clairette 2023 from McLaren Vale is a true expression of the terroir and expertise of Dune, a renowned winery based in South Australia. This vintage boasts a pale golden hue with vibrant glints of green, a visual representation of its freshness and vitality. On the nose, delicate aromas of white peaches, juicy melon, and zesty lemon peel dance with hints of wildflowers and a subtle touch of herbs. On the palate, this wine delivers a well-balanced and textured experience, with flavours of ripe apricots, tangy grapefruit, and a touch of minerality. The finish is long and refreshing, leaving a lingering sensation of citrus and stone fruits. Enjoy this Grenache Blanc Grenache Gris Clairette with light seafood dishes or on its own as an aperitif. The nose is spritely and fresh showing fresh lemon, cypress and crushed shell. The palate is fine and long with fresh acidity providing drive and texture, flavours of citrus blossom and wet stone. Piquepoul has long been a favourite of the Lloyd Family and was selected as having potential as a new variety for McLaren Vale. We imported the cuttings in 2009 from a nursery in southern France and some years later had our first release in 2015. The variety has proven itself to be well suited to our Mediterranean climate and has found a new home in the Vale. Its fresh acidity and lively texture make it a great accompaniment for seafood, particularly oysters and other shellfish. Coriole was founded by Hugh and Molly Lloyd in 1967, and they released their first wine in 1969. The Estate is still owned by the Lloyd family and is now managed by Mark and Paul Lloyd. Coriole is situated in the undulating hills of the densely planted McLaren Vale region just within sight of the sea and less than an hour from Adelaide. The original farmhouses were built in 1860 and are now the epicentre of the garden and cellar door at the winery. The original vineyards were planted in 1919. The Lloyd family are considered pioneers in the McLaren Vale region, and visionaries in the planting of Italian and French varieties. Long before it was fashionable, Mark Lloyd developed vineyards of Sangiovese, Picpoul, Chenin Blanc, Nero dAvola, and others, plus of course, Shiraz. They are considered one of the leading lights of the region.

The Nugan family is dedicated to showcasing the best vareitals from our finest growing regions. This McLaren Vale Shiraz is no exception, it is rich and full bodied, bursting with juicy plums, chocolate and a hint of black pepper. Enjoy with roast beef or kangaroo.

The nose is aromatic with mandarin, melon and lemon rind. The palate is fresh and rich - stone fruits and citrus with clean, crisp acidity. Texture and mouth feel with weight and layers of flavour.

One of the few straight varietals in Australia (Petit Verdot is usually blended with other Bordeaux varieties), the nose displays violets, briary blackberry and a hint of cedar. The palate reveals concentrated spicy plum, cherry and mulberry flavours. Will cellar well.

This McLaren Vale Nero d'Avola from the talented team at Coriole has an incredible swag of awards including two Gold medals and four Trophies! In the glass: Medium density dark red. On the nose: Fresh red and dark cherry aromas with herb and violet perfume. On the palate: Medium weight yet quite intense with raspberry and redcurrant fruit freshness and lifted acidity. Very youthful, lively and Pinot-like with light, silken lingering tannins and savoury spice. Quite delicious!

It's odd how the co-fermentation of viognier can appear to intensify the regional signature, it's certainly written large here, but there's a spark of fresh fruit with a different pitch to its note. With Fiano being a relatively new variety to Australia (originates from the Campagna region of Italy) who better than the Oliver family now celebrating over 170 years of grape growing, to create this Taranga farm favourite. This delicious drop is all sweet ripe lime and pear flavours with loads of texture perfect for lovers of fresh crisp white wines. As Gary Walsh said dangerously easy to drink.
