At the heart of Shaw + Smith's winemaking philosophy is their commitment to owning and carefully managing three distinct vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. Located in Balhannah, Lenswood, and Piccadilly Valley, these vineyards cover a total of 60 hectares. In 2014, they found the sites that would become the foundation for their exceptional Riesling production. Grüner Veltliner or "The Green Grape of the Valtellina" is a unique Austrian varietal that boasts high quantities of fruit and character. Grüner is known for its expression of terroir and this wine boasts a balance of varietal freshness and slight palate sweetness. - Lightly Sparkling , deliciousness.

A sophisticated take on Sauvignon Blanc, crafted exclusively from estate-grown Lenswood fruit and aged for 6 months on lees in 3-4 yr old French oak. The result is a beautifully balanced wine that retains the vibrant, fruit driven aromatics of Sauvignon Blanc, think citrus and white peach, whilst retaining the distinctive herbaceous characteristics of the site. The seasoned French oak imparts a velvety texture, softens the acidity, and introduces a subtle savoury layer of nutty, smoky complexity. It's a more refined, food friendly expression of the variety, elegant, textural and undeniably grown up.

This Gewurztraminer is a heady, aromatic delight that practically leaps from the glass. Bursting with the classic perfume of lychee, sweet rose and Turkish delight, it's an intensely fragrant wine that delivers on every sip. The lush palate is layered with juicy melon, a hint of mango, and a whisper of ginger spice, creating a beautifully textured and balanced experience. A gentle touch of fruit sweetness greets the front palate, while fresh acidity on the finish keeps it bright and lifted, and endlessly drinkable. Exotic, expressive and utterly moreish.

High up in the Adelaide Hills, Paracombe is owned and operated by the Drogemuller family, which it has passionately done since 1983. Sourced from both estate and selected grower fruit, Paracombe Shiraz shows wonderful ripe fruit aromas with a delicate cool-climate aspect. Notes of cherries, plums, pepper and spice are notable along with a palate of layered spicy fruit and a fine tannin structure.

Geoff Weaver Sauvignon Blanc from the Adelaide Hills is quite possible the region's best example of this aromatic variety. The bouquet shows lifted varietal characters of green pea and passionfruit and the palate is textured and long.
