Tim Knappstein brings six decades of Adelaide Hills expertise to the Riposte Morningstar Chardonnay. Sourced from cool-climate, high-altitude vineyards, whole-berry fruit ferments in French oak barriques with extended yeast lees maturation. The palate balances focused grapefruit and nectarine fruit against subtle nougat oak and a creamy mid-palate. Crisp natural acidity gives the wine drive and poise, delivering the distinction of benchmark Adelaide Hills Chardonnay at accessible value. It drinks brilliantly now and will reward cellaring over the next three to five years.

The K1 Sauvignon Blanc vines are the oldest in the Adelaide Hills and are planted in a sandy loam area of the K1 by Geoff Hardy. “A very energetic and flavour-packed white wine that does justice to the concept of varietal character. The vines are spur pruned to a low bud number to increase fruit quality. High up in the Adelaide Hills, Paracombe is owned and operated by the Drogemuller family, which it has passionately done since 1983.
