A myriad of rich dark berry fruit flavours from the Wrattonbully region meld ideally with the Adelaide Plain's elegant complexity and smooth finish.Intense colour pre-empts layers of lush dark berry and plum fruits with subtle pepper and eucalypt nuances. Deep Crimson with violet hues. There is a very delicate and pretty nose with perfumes aromas and a dash of fig. There are some forest floor flavours with a savoury mid palate and a touch of pepper along with rich plums and black cherries.

The family Grenache block on Thiele Road in Bethany are one of the old vines planted in the 40's and still producing fantastic fruit today. Schwarz has dark inky purple colour with a great aromas of sour cherry, ripe dark fruits and a hint of fresh raspberry on the nose. Although not fruit driven, the red fruits characters are lifted with some earthy oak undertone on the palate. Hint of fresh spices with some subtle tannin towards a rather long finish. A bold wine with a difference.

Baroota Creek Cabernet Shiraz is a big wine jam packed with fruit flavours, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, even a hint of rhubarb and spice, all reminiscent of Grandma's signature Christmas cake. This wine showcases Flinders Run's signature style, big and bold but with an elegance that resonates sophistication style and class. A gentle swirl of the glass reveals an impenetrable depth of colour, the wine exhibits glass staining purple hues with a bright and vibrant ruby red rim. A complex wine with layers of ripe fruits, structured tannins bring together a seamless marriage of these two grand varietals.

Baroota Creek Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass, delighting the senses with perfumed Cabernet florals combined with a bouquet of fresh forest flowers. This is a rich and vibrant wine, displaying a stunning depth of colour with a bright ruby red rim, the palate comes alive with flavours of ripe cherries, blueberries, blackberries and currants, wonderfully balanced and encompassed in an elegant veil of soft tannins that leads to a remarkably long smooth and pure finish.

Chris Ringland Shiraz 2005 represents an outstanding expression from the vineyard. The vine is powerful, voluptuous and ripe, yet the tannins are plush and mature, with moderate acidity. This vintage will have great longevity potential.
