Grenache was hand-picked specifically for the production of rose. The fruit was crushed and macerated for 2 hours to increase colour pick-up as well as some natural fruit tannin. The must was then gently pressed to liberate the juice, and then 80% was fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to retain delicate fruit aromas. The balance was drained to old oak hogsheads where the juice underwent a natural fermentation and subsequent maturation on full lees for 5 months before blending and bottlingTasting EvaluationColour: Bright, pale salmon with copper highlights.Aroma: Subtle scents of cantaloupe, red currant, wild strawberry, Morello cherry and freshly grated ginger, pink peppercorn coupled with underlying gunflint aroma.Palate: Red apple skin, ruby grapefruit and rhubarb flavours abound with textural fruit sweetness, balanced with fine fruit phenolics with crunchy apple acid focus. Clean, bright and fruit driven with strawberries and cream, cranberry, candy floss and subtle hints of nougat and spice. The palate is long and focused with light and soft texture. There is strawberries and cream with spiced red apple leading to a soft long finish.

Colour Pale colour of onion skin and copper. Aroma On the nose there are recognisable SOS characters of cantaloupe skin along with aromas of blueberries, plum, bay leaf and earth. Palate The fruit character brings a cassis juiciness into the mid palate which is soft and textured with hints of blueberry and plum fruit. The wine finishes bone dry with not much acid.

Showing a gentle blush of colour, this Rose is both charming and pretty, yet still offers great structure and drive. With initial hints of watermelon and pink rosebud florals the nose then opens to reveal wild strawberries and cream. The palate is crisp and vibrant with delicate red fruits, an elegant dry palate and juicy fruit acidity that leaves the mouth revived and thirsty for more. 80% Pinot Noir, 15% Malbec, 5% Syrah.
