Has a gamy, ripe nose with a savoury but flavoursome mouth-feel. The silky texture takes on meaty complexity on the middle palate while the long, soft finish is rich and spicy.

One of the most anticipated releases from Marlborough shows a rich aromatic bouquet and a palate brimming with passionfruit, gooseberry and melon fruit flavours and herbs. Partial barrel fermentation imparts creamy undertones and complexity.

An excellent Pinot - low yielding vines growing in calcium rich clay, within stoney subsoils derive a fine fruit. Extended brilliantly, sunny cool autumnal freshness has led to a wine of finesse and character.

The bouquet is of savoury dried herbs formed around a core of red cherry fruit with a hint of honey, quite lifted with some earthy notes which move in and out of the bouquet. The palate is perfectly balanced, it speaks of red cherry and anise - ripe and textural with just a hint of tannin, leaving you with a satisfying sensation of refreshing summer fruit infused with spices and herbs. A wine to be enjoyed year round, not just in summer.

This wine exhibits aromas of fresh citrus blossom, pineapple, passionfruit and hints of melon. This follows through to a weighty palate with Honeydew melon, grapefruit and nuances of lime zest. The Wither Hills Pinot Gris has lovely fruit and aromas of ripe white peach, citrus and quince. It is off-dry on the palate with some refreshing acidity and beautiful succulent mouth feel. Perfect with a range of different dishes from salty cheeses to stronger flavour dishes such as wood smoked salmon or roast pork.
