The Semillon comes from 20 year old vines rooted in the North Block gravels and sees a small amount (13 per cent) of barrel fermentation. Hallmark citrus and grass / nettle-driven aromatics theres a tease of white stone fruits but unmistakably the classic MR Blend. The palate shows balance concentration of ripe fruit and more than a little texture. I wont wax lyrical as it doesnt command that style of critique. Everything in its right place its a lovely glass of wine.
