Anna and Jason Flowerday run the Te Whare Ra vineyard in Marlborough according to organic and bio dynamic practices. The fruit is picked and sorted by hand, then processed in a winery especially designed for small-batch wine making. Amongst the sea of quality Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that is flooding Australia, Seresin Sauvignon Blanc stands out as having that something extra: perhaps it is the wild yeast ferment; perhaps the partial barrel ferment; or perhaps it is the 5 per cent of Semillon in the blend. This wine shows an array of fruit characters, ranging from citrus through to tropical notes. This is complemented by some secondary characters from the natural yeast ferments and also some barrel aging. The palate has an elegant structure with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.
