This is a medium-bodied Bordeaux blend bursting with aromas of raspberry, anise, violet and black cherry. Fragrant and feminine with a core of bright, juicy fruits, it's framed by fine-grained powdery tannins with flavours of raspberry liquorice, roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate. Those patient enough to cellar will reap the rewards, but the wine's red fruits and elegance are on full display and ready to be enjoyed now.

This Merlot is medium to full bodied, displaying bold notes of black dark cherry and plum. The palate is lengthy and generous, followed by layers of vanilla bean and hints of mocha to finish.

Fruit for the Flagship 171 is sourced from the number one block of Cabernet Sauvignon, which was planted in 1971 on the famous Terra Rossa soils adjacent to Coonawarra Township.
