Harvested from 558 vines, clone Gm239, each vine was cordon cut and fruit was left hanging for a further 12 days. The result is a wine with flavours of honey and citrus blossom, full bodied with wonderful length with a hint of oak adds to the superb complexity. The 2013 Kanta Riesling is a youthful green gold in the glass. The nose entices with notes of lemon curd, buttery pastry, honeysuckle and kaffir lime leaf, backed by lovely tertiary notes of brown lime cordial and a hint of kerosene. The palate is yielding and fleshy, but remarkably fresh for 8 years old. At first the palate yields pineapple and baked lemon pudding, well supported by gentle acidity. The time on lees and maturation in bottle means that this is a wine that has truly settled into its own skin. This is great cool-climate shiraz, known foremost for their high quality Riesling, Skillogalee are capable of producing reds of distinction and class. The 2004 Shiraz from Dan's Cellar Release is one of their best. Drinking beautifully now, it will continue to evolve over the next 6 years or so.

How can something that is so light in alcohol have such incredible palate weight and texture? It's an art form and Ernst Loosen is a master. The Kabinett style means a decent lick of residual sugar, but the steely, crunchy acid means you'll hardly notice it. Simply stunning.

Single block Riesling from our East Coast Hazards vineyard. The Devil's Corner Resolution Riesling would be perfect with a range of seafood dishes. Lightly battered whiting fillets seared with a garden salad and a lime vinaigrette would be perfect. As would a roasted lemon infused chicken with an Asian slaw. Don't forget the oysters or calamari!

This classic Riesling has crisp and racy finish with a slight touch of sweetness to balance the natural acidity.

Dopff Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg has quite phenomenal citrus notes with a luscious and toasty caramelised honey element. Beautifully balanced acidity and immense length. Sheer indulgence!
