The palate is an ensemble of rich, ripe, gathered black fruits, with elements of mixed savoury spice, continuing to impress in succulent ways. Silken tannins create the perfect finish.
Paulmara Estates Syna Shiraz
This limited release Shiraz shows a deep red hue. Extremely ripe fragrances of dark cherry, blackberry and blueberry flow off the vibrant nose, followed by scents of coconut, mocha and chocolate. The rich palate mirrors these characters, and enhanced by silky tannins as well zingy acidity, ends in a persistent finish. This wine can either be consumed immediately upon release, or cellared for 5 to 10 years.

Every so often there are parcels of wine that generate tremendous excitement amongst the winemakers at Schild Estate. They set this aside to make Prämie, the wine that defines the best of the vintage and the land on which it was grown. Intense primary fresh plum flavours show again on the palate, where they hold their presence all the way through to roll out soft and pillowy at the finish. A firmly present, but fine tannin framework provides just enough focus and lift for the fruit to ensure added complexity, but retaining vibrancy to the mouth flavours of this Shiraz.
